By booking a trip with Walk Mountain (P) Ltd, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions. This agreement is legally binding between Walk Mountain (P) Ltd. and the client. Any modifications or exceptions to these conditions must be agreed upon in writing by an authorized representative of Walk Mountain (P) Ltd.
Booking, Payment & Cancellation Policy:
Booking & Payment
- To confirm your booking, you must complete the Trip Booking Form, and submit 30 % deposit of the total trip cost.
- The remaining balance/ due payment must be paid at least 72 hours before the trip departure.
- Payments can be made via cash, traveler’s cheque, money order or credit card (a service charge may be subject to a certain percentage decided by the authority)
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- If you cancel the trip more than 72 hours before departure, 10% of the total trip cost will be charged.
- If cancellation occurs, less than 72 hours before departure, 50 % of the total payment will not be refunded.
- If cancellation takes place after departure or during the trip voluntarily, your deposit will not be refunded.
Itinerary Changes and Force Majeure:
- Walk Mountain (P) Ltd/ Company’s leader reserves the full right to amend, postpone, or cancel any part of the itinerary due to safety concerns, extreme weather, political instability, government regulations or any other force majeure events.
- In such cases, no refunds will be issued, and Walk Mountain (P) Ltd. will not be liable for additional costs incurred by participants due to itinerary changes.
Fitness, Health and Medical Emergencies
- You are responsible for maintaining good health and ensuring that you are both mentally and physically fit to participate in the trip.
- If you suffer from severe health conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, or other critical illnesses, you are not advised to participate in the trip.
- Trekking in Nepal often takes place in remote areas with limited or no medical facilities. In case of a medical emergency, all evacuation and medical expenses are your responsibility.
Travel Insurance Requirement
It is mandatory to have a comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
- High altitude trekking
- Emergency medical expenses with helicopter evacuation
- Trip cancellation
- Loss/theft of belongings
- Personal accident and repatriation
Note: You must provide proof of travel insurance before the trip begins. If you fail to do so, Walk Mountain (P) Ltd. is not responsible for any financial loss due to medical emergencies or trip disruptions.
Client Conduct & Liability
The trip leader /guide has full authority to discontinue a participant's journey if they engage in:
- Illegal activities
- Misconduct, harassment, or dangerous behavior
- Actions that risk the safety of the group
Note: If your trip is terminated due to misconduct, no refunds will be provided.
Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
Trekking and adventure activities involve inherent risks, including altitude sickness, harsh weather, landslides and accidents. By booking a trip with Walk Mountain, you accept all associated risks and agree that Walk Mountain (P) Ltd. will not be liable for
- Injuries, illnesses, accidents, or deaths
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Additional expenses due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., flight delays, roadblocks, bad weather)
Privacy and Data Protection
- Your personal information collected during booking will be kept confidential and used only for trip arrangements.
- We do not share your information with third parties, except as required by law or necessary for trip operations.
